The Healing Apostle
This third volume in the God’s Generals for Kids series looks at the life of John Alexander Dowie. Thousands of people were saved and healed through his ministry, but his life was one long battle from the moment he chose to follow Jesus. The harder the battle, though, the greater the victory God gave to him.
The authorities tried to close down his healing home. The police arrested him over 100 times in one year! People even tried to kill him, but it seemed that nothing could stop him. He remained focused on his ministry, and countless people discovered God. It was only near the end of his life, when things went badly wrong, that John Dowie was distracted from what God called him to do.
John Dowie’s life will show you that when you stand up for god, He will always stand up for you. Get ready to read incredible stories of God at work through one man who simply wanted to please God.
