Description

In our fast-paced world, we may see sleep as “wasted time,” or else we may lie awake as anxiety, fear or distractions race through our minds. This was never God’s intent for nighttime. Without realizing it, we have handed this sacred time over to the enemy.

With warmth, compassion and keen biblical insight, counselor and speaker Faith Blatchford reveals that it’s during this precious time that God imparts everything necessary to equip us for the day. Without peaceful sleep, we are robbed mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually of the resources we need – including insights from God.

The dark does not belong to the devil, so don’t let him steal that replenishment time from you or your family. Here are the tools you need to overcome nightmares and insomnia, encounter the God of rest, and sleep peacefully the whole night through.

Endorsements:

Our capacity to fellowship with God is sometimes stronger in the night than in the day, when we often have so many distractions. He longs to communicate with us through the dream realm. He deposits things in our hearts and minds while we sleep that we wouldn’t be able to process while awake. We can position ourselves for this, as a yielded imagination becomes a sanctified imagination, and a sanctified imagination is positioned for visions and dreams. This is for everyone!

This is a powerful guide for anyone who has struggled with sleep problems, and the first book I’ve seen that so clearly explains the spiritual science behind sleep. Faith Blatchford arms you with relevant and practical information about the physiological, psychological and spiritual roots to sleeplessness. Her insights will give you hope and help you reclaim God’s design for rejuvenation and revelation through sleep.
