Covenants are a means whereby parties bind themselves with one another to govern their actions for the future. A covenant works similar to a vision. Proverbs 29:18 states, Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraints; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Without a covenant heart, people will not restrain themselves during trials and testing. They will not remain loyal and committed to each other.
