The kingdom is coming like a flood. In one of the darkest epochs in history, Jesus Christ had the audacity to teach His followers a prayer so shocking that it continues to defy human reason. Jesus turned to His tattered brigade of spiritual warriors and said, Pray that My Fathers kingdom would come and His will would be done on Earth, just as it is in Heaven. Are these words wish upon a star, a too-good-to-be-true mantra created to make suffering people feel a little better? Did Jesus intend His prayer to be prayed by untold billions but to be answered for only a few in some distant eternity? What does The Lords Prayer, given by Jesus two millennia ago, have to do with our present-day world, with its mounting crises and numerous calamities? Is it possible that the words Jesus taught us to pray can answer these and other pressing questions: - Is our world eroding or evolving?
- Is global warming the beginning of the end?
- Will evil triumph over good?
- Are we hurtling toward obliteration?
Heavy Rain unearths the ancient mysteries of The Lords Prayer to give you answers, and prepares the Church for a revolution that will transform every realm of society.

EndorsementsThe Church, as most Americans think of it, may help some individuals but is cannot be a viable means to reform our society. Why? Heavy Rain is the most insightful book I have yet encountered to answer that question. The creative suggestions that Kris Vallotton makes for correcting our past weaknesses and re-forming our churches are powerful, positive and productive. I want to be part of the exciting kind of church that I read about here, and I believe you will agree! C. Peter Wagner, Founder and Chancellor Emeritus, Wagner Leadership Institute
Our very good friend Kris Vallotton has written a positive, detailed vision of the church as an effective catalyst for world transformation through the demonstration of both power and love. He and his church have transformed our own family and ministry by genuine apostolic love and friendship, and we are so encouraged by this. Thought provoking, and controversial in places, he makes a strong case for the church to set out to improve the world rather than let the devil steal our future. This is our present mandate as Christians and leaders, even as we look forward to the last days when God will glorify Himself and bring back His Son in magnificent power and majesty.
