This book reveals the history of a current apostolic revival, and a biblical framework for the recognition and release of apostolic and prophetic ministries in the modern Church. The hard questions are dealt with including, Can a Woman be an Apostle? The Assemblies of God in Australia is a classic example of what can happen to any Christian movement that has the courage to change. This movement made the transition from an ineffective democratic religious system to leadership by God appointed apostolic ministries and the dramatic results are now a matter of record. Since 1977 the Australian Assemblies has multiplied many times over after forty years in the wilderness. There is a reason why. In the past twenty years, the Assemblies of God has initiated the dramatic transformation of its own organization as well as the amazing growth of the entire Pentecostal Movement in Australia. During this period, the Pentecostals have grown from negligible size to the largest church attending group in the nation apart from Catholics. David Cartledge is positioned to understand the history and processes of the Assemblies of God more than anyone, and has detailed the phenomenal rise and impact of recognized apostles in the Assemblies of God in this period.
